Elizabeth Canoni PT, MS, DPT
Elizabeth Canoni PT, MS, DPT is the founder of CORE Physical Therapy. She received her Bachelor's in physical therapy from Northeastern University, Boston in 1997. Dr. Canoni continued her training receiving her advanced Master's with an orthopedic focus from Northeastern University in 1998 and her Doctorate from Rocky Mountain University, Utah in 2004. She has over 10 years experience building an integrative practice that helps her patients to reach their therapy goals.
Dr. Canoni has extensive knowledge and experience in manual treatment with a focus on joint mobilization, manual stretching, trigger point therapy and myofascial release. Dr. Canoni's goal is to provide compassionate, one-on-one treatment to create an individualized treatment program for each patient. She believes in treating the whole person and is comprehensive in her evaluation of your problem. She has advanced training in the treatment of the spine and pelvic floor and specializes in treatment of the shoulder, neck, back, hips, feet and pelvis including treatment for dyspareunia/pelvic pain and incontinence.
Dr. Canoni has been a member of the American Physical Therapy Association since 1996 and is a member of the orthopedic and women's health sections. She is also a member of the International Pelvic Pain Society and the National Arthritis Foundation.
When Dr. Canoni is not in the office treating patients, she enjoys cooking, swimming, cross country skiing and spending time with her family and friends.
